Bio
Leroy Crawford is a 26-year professional who has navigated a strategically built career that encompasses education consultation, juvenile delinquency training, public speaking, mentoring, social media influences, and more. His passionate approach to juvenile justice continues to command national attention.
He is known as a caring and committed advocate dedicated to helping people out of the darkness of hopelessness and strife, giving them the tools to envision and navigate their way to brighter futures for themselves. As a New Orleans native who rose through the ranks of juvenile justice from the trenches, he continues to share his successful training methods.
Leroy has earned the respect of his colleagues nationwide and is recognized as one of the best juvenile justice workshop facilitators. He is the most sought-after motivational speaker specializing in Navigating Street Culture InsideOut through cultural competency and working with violent/deceptive at-risk youth. He is also the founder/owner of InsideOut Behavior Consulting Services.
Mr. Crawford has become instrumental in helping to not only develop the training curriculum but to implement practices and programs that have shown a significant decrease in youth violence. His premiere program “ Navigating Street Culture InsideOut” was piloted at the New Orleans Juvenile Detention Center and also featured in the Fusion TV Documentary Prison Kids: Juvenile Justice in America. He has also been recognized and presented at the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, National Partnership for Juvenile Services, Florida Juvenile Justice Association Adolescence Conference, Louisiana Annual Governor's Conference, National School Safety Conference, and several community-based conferences.
Understanding the new breed of gangs and violence, in a reflection of New Orleans' gritty street culture, Mr. Crawford shares his unique perspective via his speaking engagements where he breaks down "Navigating Street Culture InsideOut" and "Trapped in STREET CODE LOYALTY DECEPTION.”
Leroy Crawford has a Master of Psychology and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Social Emotional Learning.
